Here I am giving you some nice hints to facilitate your online experience and make it more easier ,entertaining and fast. 

1 ) Browse in more than one window , so you don't have to wait for a page to load . This definitely helps. 
2 ) Remember various keyboard shortcut's and use it most. It's fast.
3 ) If you have poor connection then you can disable multimedia so that you can browse faster.
4) Use latest versions as they are becoming faster.
5) If you are confused that you are online or not ,then to confirm it use " ping " (for Windows 9X ). It is a very good utility to check network status.
6 ) You can know your IP address by running " winipcfg " or " ipconfig " (for Windows 9X ) or visit some sites which show your IP address. But if you are working through proxy server then the IP address shown by the website will be that of the server not yours . Hence the first method is more useful.
7) Set your security to at least medium unless you are sure about security.
8 ) Use third party ad blocking software's to block unwanted pop up menus.
9 ) Use internet accelerators and configure it for maximum utilization.
10 ) Use download managers for downloading and e-mail clients for mailing purposes. But be careful some file types get corrupted when you use download managers ( those employing multithreading).
11) You can browse pages offline, if you do this regularly then add that page to " favorites " and then configure it for offline browsing.
12 ) Net is the best medium to get all of your answers , use chat rooms and search engines to get what you want.
13 ) You can capture any songs played on the net. Even real player songs can also be captured.
14) If you need to use Yahoo Messenger urgently and you don't have it then you can use the online version of it. Go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/messenger/download/index.htm
